1066 swimmers in high spirits

On the 24th January 2010, 1066 swimmers attended a gala that was held at Sevenoaks in high spirits.

Due to a few teams dropping out 1066 entered two teams, the reds and the whites, to prevent the gala being cancelled. This gala was used as an experience gala for swimmers, particularly younger swimmers who are fairly new to the competition side of the sport.

As you can imagine there were many young and excited faces on poolside, egger to swim their race and all the time cheering on their team mates. Among them was Alex Potter who was attending his first gala. Many swimmers of all age groups triumphed that evening with PB's and 1066 totted up 32 PB's over all.

The Personal bests were swum by; Emma Cannon, Harry Turner (2), Aysa Campbell, Katie Batkin, Anthony Donalson (3), Naomi King, JJ Choron (2), Amelia Harrison, Conal Groves, Dan White (2), Charlotte Ellis, Harry Crotty, Jess Honeysett, Ryan Lee, Megan Hawkesley (3), Josh Bishop (3), Ben Cloes, Katherine Turner (2), Henri Choron, Lucy Howes (2)and Ben Coles.

Unfortunately 1066 lost out to Eastbourne and Sevenoaks but remained gracious and in high spirits about their own achievements. The evening concluded for 1066 with their eruption of 'Oggy' which was led by the new club captains Emma Cannon and Lewis Peppiatt (with the support from their new vice-captain Josh Bishop).
