Oh so close

The second round of the Sussex league took at place at Summerfields with Chicester a mere spectator as they watched local rivals 1066 and Hastings battled it out for the points. The evening turned out to be an pulsating night of dominance from the two local clubs in what was a good showcase of neighbouring talent. The leader-board changed continuously throughout the evening and the contest was only decided in the last few swims. The eventual winners, Hastings, edged the contest by a mere 19 points with the final tally: Hastings 367, 1066 348 and Chicester 276.

For 1066 there were some spectacular swims from the likes of Emma Cannon, Sophie Griggs, Lydia Harrison, Chloe Baker, Ryan Lee, JJ Choron, Darius Khalesi, Charlotte Rouncivell, Ellie Williams, Amelia Harrison, Harry Dyer and Todd Alsop to mention a few.

Head Coach Dave Pollard " It was an enjoyable evening and we just missed out, the swimmers all performed well and we eagerly await a rematch in the near future. With all the quality swimmers on show swimming was the winner tonight."
