1066 Swimmers Trophy Triumph

On Saturday the 3rd October, 1066 Swimmers travelled from Bexhill to Sevenoaks to compete in a gala against four other teams; Sevenoaks (the gracious hosts), White Oak, Sutton Atlantis and Tanbridge.

Spirits were high and many swam PBs including; Megan Hawksley, Harry Dyer, Ben Coles, Mads Potter, Josh Bishop, Joe Stell, Lewis Peppiatt, Jo Welford, Bill Mattews, Dan White, Conal Groves and Jess Honeysett.

The whole team swam fantastically and it was reflected in the points, 1066 Swimmers from the beginning and were victorious gala by a respectable 27 points. The support on poolside from the rest of the swimmers, our team managers and the parents never stopped.

This Gala was a prime opportunity to introduce a few of our members to the racing world, so well done to Dan White, Mads Potter, Megan Hawksley and Katie Batkin who experienced their first gala and as the night was drawing to an end they were able to experience the buzz of our usual oggy which echoed through the building.

 The night was finally concluded with 1066 Swimmers receiving 1st place trophy, so congratulations to all of the team!
