The Alice Dauncey Trophy held at the K2 Crawley proved a good test for 1066
against some Sussex's renowned clubs with them finishing a respectable third.
Beacon won with 216 points followed by Crawley A 198, 1066 183, Shriverers
130, Brighton 111 and Crawley B 106. For scoring purposes 1066 incurred 7
speeding tickets which meant they received no points but their swimmers
clocked vastly faster times than allowed which was mainly their aim.
There were 25 personal bests set on the night from 32 swims which was an
outstanding return. The likes of Bill Matthews, Rosie Smith, Daniel McKenna,
Carys Williams, Harry Dyer, Alice Smith, Charlie McKenna, Jess Honeysett,
Amelia Harrison, Ben Peppiatt, Johanna Welford, Liam Coleman, Emily Eldon, Lil
Murphy, Lewis Peppiatt, Robert Barnett, Alexandra Mileham, Alix Kingwell,
Brandon Johnson, Rebecca Ellis, Chloe Baker, Henri Choron, Conal Groves, Anna
Raman and Harry Crotty all recorded improved times.
Head Coach Dave Pollard said " Though we finished third the
swimmers enjoyed the evening and the personal results showed how much they
have improved."
