1066 improve at Littlehampton

A cluster a nine 1066 swimmers travelled down to Portsmouth to compete in the Littlehampton 'Last Chance' gala and ended up with 3 golds,5 silvers,7 bronzes and 12 pbs.

Leading the way for 1066 in the medal table was Megan Alsop,14, who captured gold in the 100m butterfly then followed that up with silvers in both the 400m I.M and the 50m butterfly. Adam Rouncivell,14, eased to victory to collect gold in the 100m freestyle and took bronze in the 100m breaststroke with 1066's third gold going to the impressive Darius Khalesi,11, who lead all the way to be donned with yet another gold medal.

Ella Watson,11,another good 1066 prospect claimed silvers in the 100m and 200m breaststroke and registered a personal best in the 50m freestyle. Megan Williams,15,smashed her previous best in the 400m freestyle to collect a well deserved silver and also bettered her time in the 200m freestyle. Catherine Welford,15,took three bronzes home with her finishing third in the 50m freestyle,50m backstroke and 50m breaststroke (pb).

Eleanor Williams,12, won bronze in both the 50m freestyle (pb) and the 50m butterfy (pb) with a pb in the 100m butterfly. Charlotte Rouncivell,12, also came away with a bronze in the 50m backstroke and clocked pbs in the 100m breaststroke and 100m freestyle whilst Sophie Griggs,12,improved in all her swims,50m freestyle,50m butterfly and the 100m breaststroke
